Fitness 101

 Written on Dec 23rd, 2021

Exercise is good for you, as long as you don't over-do it. It helps you get stronger. It also helps your muscles.

Here are some things you can do everyday to stay fit: walking, jogging and stretches in the morning. You can walk after you eat to help digest food. You could also walk in the morning for one hour. Jogging has the same rules and timings. Stretching should take place before you run, when you wake up, or also after you eat.

There are also things that you must do, but you cannot over-do. One example is push-ups. You should do it every other day and 10-20 of them should be enough, so you don't get arm pains. Another example is running. If you run too much, your legs will hurt and you will have cramps.

For kids, push-ups should be done on their knees, and running should be limited. Weight lifting shouldn't be done at all, else kids won't grow properly.

Sometimes you need equipment to exercise. Here are some examples: treadmills, jump ropes, dumbbells, and ellipticals. Ellipticals are electric machines that you pedal on. They are simulations of biking in place. Treadmills help you run in place. You can change the speed to make you run faster or slower. Jump ropes are for jumping in place. You swing them forward and jump over it repeatedly. When you trip over it, you start over. Dumbbells are weights. You lift them to keep in shape. They can range from 1 pound to more than 1000 pounds.

Thanks for tuning into Fitness 101!

We hope you stay healthy and keep fit.

Bye,

Shreya ♡
